Sinharaja Rainforest
A treasure trove of endemic species, including trees (60% of which are endemic), insects, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals, the national park is a biodiversity hotspot of Sri Lanka. The Sinharaja rainforest has been named a World Biosphere Reserve as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
