Passikudah
Passikudah meaning “Green-Algae-Bay” in tamil, consists of a crescent shaped bay with a white sandy beache surrounded by the shallow, calm and clear aquamarine ocean. The reef that surrounds it helps to shelter this sandy beach making it the perfect place for water sports such as windsurfing and water-skiing and for boat rides, fishing and snorkeling.
Passikudah is home to some fabulous hotels and resorts which welcome visitors to this beautiful resort town ideal for rest and relaxation. As Passikudah is located within an easy distance of the main Eastern coastal towns of Batticaloa and Trincomalee, it can be a base for trips to Lovers Leap, the Koneswaram Temple, Fort Frederick or other cultural and historical sites in the Country’s East Coast.
