Arugam Bay
Arugam Bay is a small fishing village situated along a moon-shaped bay famed for several quality breaks making it a sought after surfing destination. Surfers are drawn to this laid-back beach area for its amazing swells and consistent breaks making this one of the best surfing destinations in the world.
The shores of the bay are lined with beachfront guest houses, cafes and restaurants which coupled with the beautiful views of the bay with its soft sandy beaches and nearby tropical forests give this little tropical township a relaxed and exotic vibe.
Apart from snorkelling, swimming and surfing, Arugam Bay is a base from which travellers may visit the Kumana National Park filled with abundant wildlife.
