Colombo – Kithulgala/ Belilena (Meals – B/L/D) After a well-rested night head over to Kithulgala, a scenic city located in West of Colombo. Because of the wet zones, Kithulgala is known to be the centre of two monsoon seasons per year. This makes it an excellent place for water sports and it comes alive during the first three months of the year. The academy award winning movie, "The Bridge on the River Kwai" was filmed near the Kelani River and still, some of its concrete beams can be seen. The white water rafting, which is Kithulgala is famous for starts 7 Kms ahead in the upstream and ends with a shallow pool where it is safe to bathe even for the little ones. Belilena is a very large cave site which was known to be the resident for the prehistoric ‘Balangoda man’ (Homesepiens Balangodensis), whose skeleton was found. Close to Inoya estate, to reach Belilena a hike to the top is needed and have a splendid view from the top. Chosen by the prehistoric ‘Balangoda man ‘for its excellent geographical location since it can be used as a lookout for possible enemies. The day would take you only to Belilena, getting you well rested for a fun ride of white water rafting tomorrow. Be sure to pack up on breakfast because you are going to need heaps of energy bursts when you are paddling through the rocks on Kelani River. After a joyful experience of white water rafting, get back in and find yourself a cosy place to relax. When the night falls, huddle together with the campfire and enjoy a fun-filled barbeque night. Kithulgala - Belihul Oya After a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast of milk rice and chillies Sambol get ready for another excursion in the wild. Head over to Belihul Oya to enjoy the nature and wildlife on a more close up point. Belihul Oya is situated in the Sabaragamuwa Province and has one of the richest biodiversity spots in Sri Lanka. In the evening after landing at the River Garden Nature & Adventure Related Activity Centre, get support from one of our tour guides and explore the Samanalawewa Reservoir. The strong winds and workout of boat paddling are sure to give you a good appetite. Belihul Oya – Udawalawe National Park After breakfast at the hotel, pack up your bags and get ready to head over to another wildlife adventure in Udawalawe National Park. During sunset, the Udawalawe tank reservoir is surrounded by elephants with their little ones, water buffalos, lizards, deer, and occasionally if your stars in line the wildlife leopard. 4WD open-top safari will be the ultimate experience for you with a safari guide who will direct you to the hidden spots to observe the majestic beings in their natural habitats.
