DAY 01

Airport (Katunayaka) - Negombo

Arrival in Sri Lanka. You will be welcomed by your host and local guide to this magical island. Transferred directly to your hotel in Negombo. Evening you will be provided with a city tour and chance to shop at exotic vintage boutiques.

DAY 02

Negombo - Anuradhapura

After a delicious taste of tropical breakfast at the hotel, you will be on route to the most historically enriched city of Sri Lanka – Anuradhapura. On route, you will be offered the chance to take a Safari jeep through Wilpattu National Park – which is the only national park to take a glimpse of the Sri Lankan leopard in their natural habitat.

DAY 03

Anuradhapura – Mihintale- Anuradhapura

Followed with the traditional/western breakfast at the hotel, you will be gracing the land of kings. Anuradhapura was the richest capital of Si Lanka and home to several kings who changed the course of history. Ruwanweliseya – a monument in honour of Lord Buddha is a must-see for any traveller.

Walk alongside to visit the Sri Maha Bodhi, a sapling taken from the Bodhi Tree in India (Oldest recorded tree) – which aided and provided shelter for Lord Gautama Buddha to attain Nirvana. Sit under its magnificent shade and try to experience the peace of mind that many Buddhists seek in worshipping this grandeur Bodhi. Follow on to visit the Mihintale Rajamaha Viharaya.

Anuradhapura Ancient Kingdom

First ancient Kingdom and capital of Sri Lanka during the Royal regime of Sri Lanka. The records state that Anuradhapura is one of the richest and culturally adorned cities of Sri Lanka during the regime of King Dutugemunu. Known to be the centre point of worship for Buddhists, be sure not to miss the magnificent 13-meter high statue of Lord Buddha carved out of solid granite which is adorned as the symbol of Samadhi (Mindfulness). The Bodhi Tree, Lovamahapaya (A building built entirely out of Stones), and gigantic tanks which supplement water to the nearby acres of paddy field, provides evidence for the wisdom of its ancient inmates.

DAY 04

Anuradhapura – Jaffna

After another breakfast at the hotel which is famous for their freshly squeezed mango juice, you will be visiting Jaffna, the epitome of Hindu and Tamil culture of the island. Be sure to try the sumptuous King Coconut (Locally known as Thambili) on the way to Jaffna, quench your taste buds.

Day 05


Adorned with ‘Yalpanam delicacies ‘be sure to try every dish served in the breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast will be served at 6.15, getting you to embark on the journey to visits Nagadeepa Purana Vihara Temple.

Driving through the Pannai Bridge and Lagoon it will take you an hour to reach the Chatty Beach. Be sure to stay awake and see the magnificent lagoon birds preying in the early morning. From Chatty Beach, reach the Kurikattuwan Jetty, which serves as the sea transportation hub. From here on, in an exciting, yet little bit rocky boat ride will take you to the Nainatheevu Island, in why you will visit both Nagapooshani Amman Kovil (Historical Temple) – Nagadeepa Buddhist Temple.

Nagapooshani Amman Kovil will provide you with the chance to listen to early morning chants, and participate for the Puja. Be sure to request a dab of sindoor and put it on your forehead for good fortune. As evidence to the hospitality of the islanders, you will be served with a complimentary vegetarian lunch, served on a banana leaf, including famous Yalpanam sambar, and Kootu.

On our return journey to the mainland, from Chatty beach you will be taken to explore the realms of the Northern Most point of Sri Lanka – Point Pedro. Then proceed into visits Valvettethurai - Prabakaran's (founder of LTTE, an organisation who embarked on a three-decade war for a separate estate) birthplace from there to the Thondamaanaaru Selvasannithi Kovil. After a tour around this colourful temple it’s a relaxing stroll in Vallai Bridge Achcuveli – Nelavarai, and Through Rajaveethi you will be returning to the Jaffna Town. Take time to relax and rejuvenate yourself after the exotic journey in the capital city of Northern Province in Si Lanka.

Day 06


After another sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, embark you on archaeological exploration to the site of Jaffna fort with our guide. Put on your sun hats, Khaki shorts (Think, Indiana Jones) and try to unearth the wonders of Jaffna fort, proceeding slowly towards the Nallur temple, the most famous iconic monument of Jaffna. The surprise the day would be our chance to indulge yourself in the real Jaffna cuisines in a Tamil home. Make this the highlight of your day since food reveals the beliefs, values and cultural norms of a country. Yalpanam spices, their desserts and even their wonderful snacks will help you to take a glimpse of the extraordinaire cultural bounds of this tiny nation.

Temple of Tooth Relic (Dalada Maligawa) is a sacred temple with the history backing down to 1687. The octagonal shape and golden roofs are the most memorable piece of architecture of this place, in which you will be able to visit the Relics of the Lord Buddha.
Head back from Temple to enjoy a cultural show combining the artists from both upcountry and low country traditions.

Buckle up and get ready to embark on the next phase of your journey towards Nuwara Eliya. On route, you will notice the change of landscape and will be provided with a chance to visit a tea factory and see how that perfect cup of Ceylon tea is manufactured.

Galle – Colombo

Colombo is a busy commercial city with both residential tree lined roads and commercial skyscrapers. home to a newly opened city malls , and various shopping districts , be sure to visit the Fort, the former British administrative centre and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, Hindu Temples in the Colombo city limit and the elaborate stone carvings of the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal.
