Horton Plains-World’s End Trekking, Tea Planation Visit & High Tea Experience
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Nuwara-Eliya 4.30 am – 5.00 am. We have to get to Horton Plains National Park by 07:00 am latest. You’ll take a guided walk along the nature trails to a viewpoint known as World’s End which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its unique watershed and bio-diversity features,
its flora has high level of endemism. The hills are covered with diverse wet low evergreen forest with even large trees flattened to the ground on the higher windswept slopes. The two escarpments “Little World’s End” and “World’s End” falling from the Horton Plains 1000 feet and 4000 feet respectively to the land below and the Baker’s Falls, are recommended places to visit. The central mountain is known as the “Cloud Forest”.
Thereafter, visit a tea factory where you will see the processing of tea leaves and how tea is graded. Be sure to take a moment and taste a cup of Ceylon tea and enjoy its aroma and a slight hint of citrus, unique only to the Ceylon blend.
Then we’ll take you to an elegant High Tea on a manicured lawn, sip a stiff brandy by the blazing fire after a round of golf in the chill air.
