The Chariot Path and Seetha Tear pond
Legend : It is believed that King Ravana took Queen Seetha Devi from the Capital City Lankapura to Asoka Vatika (his pleasure garden and the location in which she was held captive until her rescue) by chariot in order to show her the beauty of his country. The forest above the Ramboda hills has a barren stretch of land devoid of vegetation other than grass, and is thought to be the route the chariot that carried the King and Queen Seetha travelled along. Along the route is a pond thought to have been created by the tears of Queen Seetha and according to legend this pond never dries up.
