Kanniya Hot Springs
Legend : It is believed that King Ravana performed the funeral rites of his mother at this site, home to seven square shaped hot water wells. It is said the King angrily pierced the ground in seven places with his sword to find water to perform the last rites. The water that gushed out of the ground was as hot as his anger and cooled down to the current temperature as the King’s anger subsided. The temperature of the water varies from one well to another.
