Ishtripura / Konda Kattu Gala
Legend : In his quest to avoid Lord Hanuman, King Ravana is said to have moved Queen Seetha to different locations in Sri Lanka and ‘Ishtripura’ meaning an area of women is one of the locations Queen Seetha was taken to. It is said the Queen bathed in a stream at this site and dried her hair on a nearby rock, adorning her hair with hairclips. Today, this rock is known as Konda Kattu Gala (hairclip rock).
