Haputale
Located on the southern edge of the hill country, Haputale is 44 Km from Nuwaraeliya. The small town perched on a mountain range at an elevation of 1,579 meters offers fantastic views of the surrounding hills and tea plantations and on clear days all the way to the southern coast of Sri Lanka. Haputale is hemmed in by the mountain ranges of Horton plains, Hakgala and, Namunukula among several other peaks. Walking, hiking and trekking in the surrounding hills are favorite attractions of Haputale.
